Tartines Croque-Monsieur
Croque-Monsieur sandwiches, with their melted topping of ham and cheese, are always a favorite.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/4 pound thinly sliced rosemary ham*
8 thin slices Gruyère cheese
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
• Preheat oven to broil.
• Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Place bread on prepared baking sheet. Brush top side of bread slices with butter. Top each with ham and 2 slices cheese.
• Broil until cheese just begins to brown and bubble, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle evenly with thyme leaves, and cool for 3 minutes. Cut each piece into 3 triangles. Serve warm.
