Wine-poached pears and feta cheese give these slices of tea bread a kick. Serve warm with wine butter.

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter plus 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, divided
2 cups finely diced Wine-Poached Pears (see Download for recipe)
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme
1 cup cold whole milk
1/4 cup wine reduction from Wine-Poached Pears (see Download for recipe)
• Preheat oven to 375°. Coat 4 (5-x-2 1/2-x-2-inch) miniature loaf
pans with nonstick spray with flour. Set aside.
• In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and
salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in 1/2 cup cold butter until mixture
resembles coarse meal. Add diced pears, feta, and thyme,
stirring to combine. Add milk, stirring until mixture is well
combined. Divide batter among prepared loaf pans.
• Bake until tops of loaves are golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
• In a small bowl, combine remaining softened butter and wine
reduction. Stir until well combined. Serve bread warm with wine
