Honeybush Tea-Infused Simple Syrup

Honeybush Tea-Infused Simple Syrup





3 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 (.085-ounce) bags honeybush tea*
½ vanilla bean, split in half, seeds reserved 


• In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Cook over medium-high heat until mixture boils. Reduce heat, and simmer until slightly thickened, approximately 15 minutes.
• Remove from heat. Add tea bags to mixture, and steep for 15 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.
• Refrigerate for 1 hour before using.

 

 *For testing purposes, we used Tazo Honeybush Herbal Infusion.
