1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons buttermilk
2 bags Dr. Stuart’s Wild Fennel Tea
• In a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the cream, buttermilk,
and contents of tea bags, and cover tightly. Let stand
at cool room temperature (about 70˚) for 8 to 24 hours, or until
mixture has thickened.
• Stir well, and refrigerate until ready to use. Store crème fraîche
in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Test kitchen tip: Crème fraîche can also be used as a thickener for
soups or sauces or spooned over fresh fruit, pudding, or warm cobbler.
