Royal Icing (with Cookie Bookmarks)

Royal Icing for Cookie Bookmarks Recipe

2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons meringue powder
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Assorted food coloring (optional)

• In a medium bowl, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and
meringue powder. Add the water and vanilla extract. Whisk until
smooth, adding more sugar or water for desired consistency. Mix
in food coloring, if desired. Use immediately.
