The seventh annual Victoria Tea Festival will take place February 9, 2013. Billed as "North America's Largest Tea Exhibition," there are complimentary presentations and more than 40 exhibitors—tea purveyors, food vendors, and varied products (many related to tea in some way). A silent auction will also be held. All proceeds will go to Camosun College Child Care Services.
"Tea education was a huge part of my business, and I loved the cultural side of tea, so the Victoria Tea Festival brought together these elements in a celebration of Victoria's tea culture," says Silk Road's Daniela Cubelic, who helped give the now-famed festival its start. At noon at this year's event, TeaTime Editor Lorna Reeves, will give a presentation titled, "Planning the Perfect Tea Celebration." The festival is at Crystal Garden in Victoria, British Columbia, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person. For more information call 250-370-4880 or visit victoriateafestival.com.
