The Story Behind the Cover (Nov/Dec 2013)




The November/December 2013 cover sparkles with our own version of a white Christmas: A Dreamy White Chocolate Layer Cake bedecked with Sparkling Snowflake Sugar Cookies. The four-layer cake looks impressive—but it’s easy to make with a white cake mix as a starting point, and the sugar cookies are great for garnish or for munching with a cup of tea. (See pages 43 and 44 of the magazine for the recipes.) Silver accents such as the silver-plated teapot from Tea For Two and the silver-rimmed teacups decorated with holly leaves (Lenox Holiday Nouveau Platinum White) are sure to make everyone’s spirits bright.
