No-Bake Caramel-Apple Mini Tartlets

Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) container mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup dulce de leche*
- 24 mini phyllo cups, such as Athens
- ½ cup finely diced apple, such as Gala
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine mascarpone and dulce de leche. Beat at medium-low speed with a mixer until smooth and creamy. Transfer mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large open-star tip (Wilton 1M). Pipe a decorative rosette into each phyllo cup.
- Top tartlets evenly with diced apple.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- * Dulce de leche is canned caramel milk. Look for it in the canned-milk section or the Hispanic-foods section of grocery stores.
- • Filling can be made a day in advance and stored in a covered container. Stir to loosen before transferring to piping bag.
- • To prevent browning, dice apples just before using.
