Jane Pettigrew is an international tea expert, who has written 14 books on the subject, including the new edition of A Social History of Tea, published by Benjamin Press. She has also penned 18 other books on food and food history. Her articles and essays on tea-related subjects have appeared in newspapers and magazines in the United Kingdom and in other parts of the world. She appears regularly on television and radio to discuss tea history and the various aspects of tea. A former tearoom owner, Jane is a much-sought-after consultant to luxury hotels, top tearooms, and tea organizations and companies, such as United Kingdom Tea Council, Tea Board of India, Twinings, Finlays, Brita, and Wedgwood. She is a member of the training team annually at World Tea. Although her travels take her around the globe, she resides in London.
