Zesty and bold, this Red Wine–Mustard Vinaigrette is lovely atop our Marinated Green Bean Salad, but makes a delicious dressing on other dishes as well.

Red Wine–Mustard Vinaigrette

Ingredients
  1. 2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
  2. 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  3. 2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard*
  4. 1 teaspoon finely minced shallot
  5. ½ teaspoon sugar
  6. ¼ teaspoon salt
  7. ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  8. 3 tablespoons extra-light olive oil
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine red-wine vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, shallot, sugar, salt, and pepper, whisking well. Add olive oil in a steady stream, whisking vigorously until blended.
Notes
  1. *For testing purposes, we used Grey Poupon Country Dijon Mustard.
