Tea Customs around the World
Wherever we travel in the world, we find that tea’s role in life is to offer a greeting, a welcome, an invitation to meet the local people, and an opportunity to experience their way of life. But don’t expect the tea to always be prepared in the way that we brew the leaves in the West. And don’t be surprised if it is not served in a cup and saucer or a mug. Much of the fun and pleasure tea lovers experience on their travels is to enjoy the local tea, drink it from the traditional vessel, and learn how it is prepared.
