Cream Cheese Buttercream
 
This satisfying filling complements the unique flavors of each macaron.
Ingredients
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3½ cups confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter with a mixer at medium-low speed until thick and creamy, approximately 1 minute. Add vanilla extract, and beat until blended. Reduce speed to low, and gradually add confectioners’ sugar, beating until combined. Increase speed to medium and beat until light and fluffy, approximately 1 minute. Use immediately.
