Spiced Pecans

A batch of these Spiced Pecans makes a thoughtful gift for the holidays, especially for someone with a gluten allergy.

Spiced Pecans
Yield: 2 cups

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups pecan halves
  2. 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  3. 1½ teaspoons Seasonal Spice Mix (recipe follows)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350˚.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the pecans and melted butter; toss to coat. Add the Seasonal Spice Mix, and stir to fully coat pecans.
  3. Place on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for 6 to 8 minutes; let cool completely before serving.

Seasonal Spice Mix
Yield: 1½ cups

  1. ¼ cup kosher salt
  2. ¼ cup ground black pepper
  3. ¼ cup cayenne pepper
  4. ¼ cup dried rosemary
  5. ¼ cup garlic powder
  6. ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, cayenne, rosemary, garlic powder, and brown sugar; whisk to blend. Store spice mix in an airtight container.
