From the moment guests first talk to Audrey Farrelly, they immediately notice that her charismatic personality shows her passion and devotion to her tearoom. A native of Ireland, Audrey bought Serenity Garden Tea House in 2013 following a 25-year career in the hospitality industry.

“Before the teahouse and having a degree in hotel and catering management, I always wanted to treat guests to the traditional high tea I grew up with,” Audrey comments with a heavy Irish lilt.

Since taking over, Audrey has worked to recreate the atmosphere of an old Victorian home. Each room is decorated with a fun variety of colors and prints, and each table is set with an assortment of cups and saucers.

For afternoon tea, customers can choose between two different options. Presented on a loaded three-tiered stand, the High Tea, at $24 per guest, offers a cup of soup, a variety of finger sandwiches, freshly baked Serenity Garden cranberry and orange scones, individual desserts, and a pot of tea. The Royal Tea, at $28 per guest, elevates the occasion by adding a celebratory glass of Champagne. Audrey offers a full lunch menu with sandwiches, quiches, salads, and desserts as well.

The menu also includes a great selection of house-blended teas for visitors to enjoy with their service. According to Audrey, the two most popular selections are the Pineapple and Coconut Black Tea and the Apple-Fig Green Tea. Serenity Garden Tea House blends are available for purchase on site or online.

“I treat all my guests as if they are in my home,” Audrey comments. “I’m delighted to help create so many wonderful memories.”

Serenity Garden Tea House is open 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Reservations for afternoon tea are required 24 hours prior to guests’ desired time.
