TeaTime 15: Notable Tearooms That Have Stood The Test of Time

TeaTime 15: Notable TearoomsTea by Two
814 South Main Street • Bel Air, MD 21014

Located in a 1922 Cape Cod-style house on the outskirts of downtown Bel Air, Maryland, Tea by Two, just as the name implies, is a collaborative effort between two friends. Owners Erin Bradley and Janet Meyers, friends for more than 30 years, opened their tearoom in 2001 after 20 years in the insurance industry. Tasting tea is what it’s all about at Tea by Two. With a number of afternoon-tea options ranging in price from $9.39 per person to $22.99 person, there is just as much variety in their menu choices as their tea selection. The tearoom is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Reservations are recommended and can be made in person or via phone.

  1. Great tearooms. You must check out Josephine’s in Godfrey, IL. You will love it. Not only excellent food, great atmosphere, but room after room of shopping for clothes and the home. We love it! In fact, I am taking my granddaughter there for her 17th birthday this Saturday. Thanks for listening. Barb Dalby

  2. My granddaughter and I had a weekend tea retreat at several tea shops .in Southern California. We went to the Rose Tree Tea Cottage and also Paris In A Cup. The experience was really very nice. We attended another which was also quite enjoyable. It was the Huntington Library and Museum which has a wonderful tea room.
