Cast-Iron Teapot
Considerably heavier than customary ceramic teapots, a cast-iron kettle is a handy, hefty utensil that has been used in Japanese tea-drinking ceremonies for several centuries. While some cast-iron kettles are meant specifically for heating water for tea, others, such as the Toshima Teapot from Adagio Teas, feature an infuser basket and are meant for brewing tea. All, however, are crafted to retain heat and are an excellent option for those who enjoy several cups of tea over an extended period of time.
