Earthenware Mug
Although earthenware mugs are available in many decorative patterns, such as Gien’s Oiseau Bleu Fruits, they have never been considered proper for traditional afternoon tea. These clay mugs are, however, marvelous for daily use because their durability and heat-retention properties allow the tea drinker to savor the hot beverage over a longer period of time than from porcelain teacups.
