Nepal Black
Few people know about Nepal’s excellent teas, says Jane Pettigrew, who is hopeful that will change. And though some might say flavors are similar to those produced in nearby Darjeeling, India, Nepalese teas have a marvelous character that can be at once honey-sweet, spicy, malty, floral, and fruity. Ones that include plump leaf buds, which give the dried tea golden touches, have almost no bitterness or astringency.
