Silver Needles White
Only the fuzzy leaf buds of Camellia sinensis are used to make true Silver Needles (Yin Zhen). China’s Fujian Province is renowned for the production of this white tea. Because the tender buds must be carefully plucked, legend has it that small golden scissors were used to snip them from the bushes into golden bowls. When steeped, Silver Needles often has delicate notes of toasted nuts and hints of melon.
