Gyokuro Green
Shade-grown Gyokuro is one of Japan’s most prized green teas and is often considered the finest the island nation produces. Its dark bluish-green shard-like leaves yield a bright green liquor that has a sweet, rich umami flavor along with grassy notes that remind the drinker of spinach, kelp, and kale. Because this is a delicate tea, it should be steeped in water that is between 140° and 160°F.
